The Cottonwood Kayak Club training facility is located just 10 minutes north of Innisfail. This private area has two ponds which provides an excellent opportunity for beginners to learn basic skills along with a flatwater slalom course and polo pitch. The training facility is located less than 100m from a class 1 section of the Red Deer river providing an easy introduction to moving water for those ready.
CLUB TRAINING FACILITY
When winter freezes over Alberta's lakes and rivers the Cottonwood Kayak Club heads to the Innisfail pool. Special events take place throughout the winter but members can always count on polo Friday nights and drop in paddle lessons Sunday afternoons.
